Grapefruit Margarita
When I wake up to a warm, sunny morning, I envision a lovely evening on the patio with a pitcher of margaritas! I’ve got a few different margarita recipes that I turn to but Ina Garten’s Pink Grapefruit Margaritas are definitely my tried and true! I find that most people enjoy these even if they’re not big margarita fans. I believe it’s the grapefruit that makes them so refreshing. It also makes for a great batch cocktail that can be made in advance if you’re entertaining. The recipe serves four but is easily doubled. I vary Ina’s method slightly because I prefer my margaritas on the rocks rather than blended. Instead of using a blender, I hand mix the ingredients in a pitcher without ice and use my cocktail shaker to make individual cocktails. I also use fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. I enjoy a salted rim but if you do not, Ina advises putting a pinch of salt in the shaker, which makes a big difference!
