Strawberry Rosé Spritzer
Sometimes I’m looking for a nice day drink and a spritzer always fits the bill. In this case, strawberries meet rosé and aperol with delightful results. I have a good friend, Tami, who has some particulars on when it’s actually rosé season. Something about temperature but I think she’d agree that once you get into May or June, it’s time for that pretty light pink to make an appearance! It could be argued that I’ll find any reason to justify making a cocktail and a fresh pint of farmer’s market strawberries seems as good as any. I found Bon Appetit’s Strawberry-Rosé Spritzer while scrolling the web for strawberry cocktail ideas. The recipe is designed for a pitcher of cocktails and I adapted it to work for a single serving. Don’t get me wrong, though, a pitcher sounds fabulous to share with friends. There are also days when I’m the only one around wanting a daytime beverage or I’ve got an already opened bottle of rosé in the fridge. We need options, friends!
